Workshops and longer courses

While most training is undertaken during a single day, it is possible to organise longer, more in-depth training; the International Graduate Summer School, directed until 2002 by Chris Armstrong at the University of Wales, or the three-day "Focus on access: a workshop on building digital collections and services" and "Off the Shelf: a workshop on the provision and use of e-books in libraries, resource centres and information services" which run in Cape Town are just two examples.
